WINEMAKER: Lorenzo Piccin.
APPELLATION: Aglianico Del Vulture.
TERROIR: 10/35 years old vines grown in Volcanic, Gravelly clay soil at an altitude of approximately 500mt.
GRAPE VARIETIES: 100% Aglianico.
VINIFICATION: Hand harvested and fermented in stainless steel with native yeasts over a period of about 12 days, with soft crushing and racking intending highlight the varietals floral hints and freshness. High density planting as is traditional on Mt. Vulture (6-8k per hctr). 70% of the wine ages in Slavonian oak barrels for 12 months and the rest remains in stainless steel.
TASTING NOTES: Brilliant ruby red, Kamai has a generous and elegant nose with all the charms of the Aglianico del Vulture grape: mineral, stylish floral hints, fresh and bottled red berry fruit.
Gutsy and determined, supported by sweet tannins this wine has a good acidity lengthens the deep, well-defined finish.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS : Great with roasted, barbecue and stewed and braised meat
