A native of Beaujolais, Aurelien studied mathematics before returning home to work in the vines. His estate
consists of 2 parcels, one in A.O.C. Régnié and another the “Pigeon Tower '' parcel (for carrier pigeons) that was
built in the 16th century in Quincé-en-Beaujolais. The 2020 “Grignette” Beaujolais Villages, comes from the 45
year old vines of Gamay in the “Pigeon Tower” parcel and is vinified in the cave of the legendary Christian
Ducroux. Bright with beautiful red fruit, violets and the typicity of wet stone on the nose, this first vintage from
Aurelien is simply stunning!
