Saperavi from Napareuli in the eastern region of Kakheti, native yeast ferment without any stem inclusion. 

An exciting and uncommon example of an aged Georgian red, held back to integrate and evolve. This cooler area in the northwest of Kakheti creates complex aromatics redolent of earth, baking spice, boysenberry, raspberry reduction. Medium bodied, with tannin, acidity, minerality all in harmony. Gentle and poised Saperavi with flavors of smoke, black cherry, and tobacco. 

Stori Description

STORI is a new company but the tradition of making a Qvevri wine have been handed down over thousands of years. It’s the most cherished cultural treasure that fills the hearts of the Georgian artisan wine makers with pride and promising future perspectives. Quality of production is strictly controlled.
The part of vineyards of the company is located at winery of "Stori", in the Tsinandali micro-zone. The locally grown grapes are pressed in qvevris without being mixed with the grapes from other appellations. The wines of Tsinandali micro-zone made on wild yeast in wax-coated qvevris have an ideal acid-sugar balance, intense aroma and exceptional taste.
In 2014, nearby of the Alaverdi monastery (VI century), on Ozhio's plains the company landed new vineyards of a rare native grade of Kisi, and also Mtsvane's grades and Saperavi.
UNESCO awarded the status of a monument of world intangible culture unique and very ancient Georgian technology of winemaking in buried in the ground in large clay jars – Qvevri. This technology allows to create a completely original, bright, natural wines, different from a European by high extract and honey-fruity aroma
