St. Reginald Parish’s Marigny Piquette is made with the pomace of Pinot Noir grapes, re-fermented by native yeasts after adding water. Bottled with forced carbonation and filtered, for a very clean and elegant expression of the ancient beverage. Soft raspberry and strawberry fruit shines in this bone-dry fizz. A mere 4.2% ABV so you can knock back a bottle with brunch!

Piquette is a traditional drink of the people, dating back to antiquity, and known by many names across Europe. After winemaking, the pressed grapes haven’t given up all their sugars and flavors, so rehydrating them with water allows a winemaker to make a second, low alcohol beverage. Historically, this was part of the vineyard and winery worker’s payment —  a household beverage of the small vigneron. Today, it serves as a refreshing and ultra-sessionable drink. The category is taking off, even the famed wine writer Alice Feiring did a piece on its revival and growing popularity and connection to KWC!
