Sepp Mantler is a highly regarded winemaker in his home country. He’s the current operator of a winery and vineyards that have been owned by his family for 200 years. His wife’s great, great, great grandfather first planting vineyards in 1805. The farming is certified organic. Their winemaking doesn’t make use of chemicals to adjust acidity or color and sugar is never added, something that is actually quite common in many wineries. No fining for clarity, instead they wait and cleanly rack the wines.
