Winemaker Andrew Jones has a keen eye for diamonds in the rough: sites that are unknown or under-appreciated but hold enormous untapped potential. He strives for unique wines loaded with personality and a one-of-a-kind experience.
Wine Notes: Our newest project at Field Recordings, an alternative wine style, bag in box called Boxie. Field Recordings is currently doing more orange wine than anyone in America right now and we may be the only domestic orange wine on the market. This box is a blend of Chardonnay, and some parts of the SKINS orange wine we do in bottle- Pinot Gris from Santa Barbara County (Northfolk Ranch- sustainable vineyard), Riesling (from Zabala Vineyard- organic vineyard) & Albarino (from Morro View Vineyard in the Edna Valley). The wine throws notes of apricot and almond. The wine in bag is good for 90 days making it a great alternative for retailers and small restaurants looking for a house wine or by the glass option.
