The Arnot Roberts project which was founded nearly two decades ago in Northern Cal, was and still is simply revolutionary and progressive. Two childhood friends founded this trailblazing project at a time when California wine was full replete with the same ol’ stuff ( extracted wines made from Cabernet, Pinot, Chardonnay etc). Arnot Roberts took a different approach than the established winemaking class at the time, by searching out the best and most unhearladed vineyards in Cali therefor capturing the best fruit for the best price.
Though the duo doesn’t own any of their vineyerds they do urge the farmers they work with to work as organically as possible in the vineyard while also emphaszing a blend of old word/new world techinques in the cellar. The appoach is methodical, time-honored, and meticulous.
The Rose on offer is an irreverent blend of Touriga Nacional, Gamay, Tinta Can, and Grenache.
Only 1300 cases were produced of this light, zippy, and aromatic pretty pounder.
