A rare Austrian grape variety, with only around 600 hectares of it planted in the country. A cross of Roter Veltliner and Silvaner, this grape actually has red-pink grapes but not enough color to make true red wines, with this wine drinking much more like a funky ramato or orange wine. 8 weeks of maceration with the skins, aged a further 18 months all without any sulfur added. The wine is bottled as is without any fining or filtering, no additives, and had wild yeasts for the ferment. No electrical machinery is used in making the wine either. Very impressive wine with marigold, nectarine skin and agave notes.
