Forthave Spirits Description

Forthave Spirits produces all-natural botanical spirits in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The distillery was
founded by writer and film producer, Daniel de la Nuez, and painter Aaron Sing Fox.
Forthave uses only plant-based ingredients for their spirits. Their herb library includes over 200 different types
of herbs - tree roots and barks, seeds and berries, leaves and flowers, citrus peels and mushrooms. From that
collection, their spirits are born. The only sweeteners used are raw: organic turbinado sugar from Brazil or a
wildflower honey from Upstate New York; no artificial colors are used. Almost all of the ingredients are USDA
organically certified - the few that aren’t, have either been foraged or grown by small farmers without
certification. Forthave macerates in stainless steel tanks, never plastic, and uses no artificial filtering agents for
their spirits.
The aim of Forthave Spirits is to blend these herbs and to achieve balance. Every spirit produced is formulated
to stand on its own.

Spirit Notes: Brown is a coffee liqueur made by Forthave Spirits in collaboration with roaster Café Integral. It is a combination of a cold brew extraction and a ground bean maceration using a single variety coffee bean - anaerobically fermented Pacamará - grown by Don Sergion Ortez in the highlands of Nicaragua and roasted in Brooklyn, NY.
